The corellas wreaked havoc in our pea patch this week, snapping off the shelling peas, opening them, eating the peas inside and dropping the empty pods on the ground. Strangely they don't seem to be interested in the sugar snap peas, but did have a go at the snow peas too. 

We have bought some 30% shadecloth to lay across the top of the trellises to protect them. This will also double to protect some of our taller capsicum varieties in Summer which will be growing on the trellis once the peas finish. Capsicums are very susceptible to sunburn and Summer can be brutal in Yarramundi.
